In honor of Xavier Randolph's accomplishments and impact on the Washtenaw Saints, the board of directors created an award around the most extraordinary thing that Xavier brought to the team: Leadership. Leadership demonstrated by dedication, a Commitment to Excellence, and a Christ based concern for others.
Although Xavier was a hardworking and accomplished athlete, this is not an award based upon athletics, or an acknowledgement of who racked up the most yards or points. . .this is an award based on the outward expression of what is internal. The men who founded this league wanted more than a way for boys to play football. They believed we desperately need strong and faithful Chrisitan men in this culture and wanted to teach young men to Serve, Honor and Lead.
We enshrine that vision in the Xavier Randolph Outstanding Leadership Award, which we will give annually, to the player the coaches most believe demonstrated a desire to grow in these virtues. This will be the highest honor we bestow upon one of our players.
We were proud to present the 2025 inaugural award to Malachi Friedlund.
