Saints Players, Families, and Fans:
It is finally here!  Unless rules change before then, football practice starts Monday!
When:  6pm – 8pm (practice may run longer at the coaches’ discretion).

Where:  Dominos Farms field at the corner of Earhart Rd and Ave Maria Drive.  The field is located just to the east of the Christ the King Catholic Church Parish Center (Barn).  The address of Christ the King Catholic Church is:  4000 Ave Maria Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48105

Shorts and T-shirt, tennis shoes or cleats, and PLENTY OF WATER.  There is no source of water at the field, so please plan to bring a sufficient quantity for two hours of practice on hot afternoons.  A small plastic bottle of water will not be sufficient.  Please plan accordingly.  The coaches will be taking plenty of water breaks.

Also, please know that we want the  Saints’ family to be safe!  The MHSAA is scheduled to provide guidance surrounding football in the Covid era in the next week or two, but in the meantime for conditioning, we will want to maintain social distancing at all times.  Please be aware and maintain six foot distancing during stretching, running, drills and breaks.  This is new for all of us, so we are hoping for cooperation from everyone!

Fr. Ed Fride from Christ the King Church has kindly offered the use of the far parking lot (the lot west of the church). We do not pay the Church for the use of the lot, and the practice field is owned by Dominos Farms (with whom we contract for its use). The Church is a very active parish with numerous evening activities for parishioners. Fr. Ed has graciously allowed us to use the parking lot for many years, so please respectfully follow these rules:

1.) There is absolutely no parking in the lot between the Church and activity center (Via Sacra Drive) by players or parents (even if waiting in the car).  Please park in the West lot and walk around the church, past the barn and to the practice field.  Allow a few minutes for the walk and to be on the field at 6pm.

2.)  Please do not enter any of the church buildings or the activity center. There is to be absolutely no use of the church restroom facilities by any of the  Saints’ players, family members, or supporters.  We will be arranging for a portable toilet to be placed near the field.

3.)  Many observers use the church owned property directly adjacent to the practice field for watching practice. The church has been kind enough to allow this, but there should be absolutely no trash or other items left anywhere after practice. We do not contract for any trash service, and it is completely our responsibility to clean up the practice field and the church grounds.
Please help us maintain good relationships with the church and Dominos Farms by following these rules and being respectful of the property.
Please note that players who have not registered and paid the participation fee will not be allowed to practice with the team after equipment has been distributed, or play in any game. Thank you for your cooperation in getting registered and your fees paid. If you wish to pay by cash or check, please register on the website and stop when you get to the payment screen.  Then send an email to Mike Follbaum ([email protected]) who will complete the registration process.  Please make checks payable to The Christian Athletic League of America. Please also note that all players will need a current physical form (MHSAA forms are available from most physician’s offices at the MHSAA website and at  During conditioning we will be circulating insurance waivers that will need to be signed and to have the concussion form acknowledged.

In an effort to form as large a team as possible, we have decided to make the season fee $300 for both returning and new players.  In order to obtain this discount during registration, everyone should click the “Returning Player” radial button.
We are looking forward to a great season of Saints’ football and fellowship! We continue to ask for volunteers who would be willing to assist with some portion of team administration, so please let us know if you can help.
Please continue to pass the word at church, with homeschool groups, or through social media. We have seen some great interest this year, and we’d like to grow our program as much as possible. Please continue to pray for our team, league, players, families, and supporters.
Just a couple of days remain. . .
See you on Monday 8/3 at the practice field – 6pm sharp! And please make sure you bring plenty of water!!
