Saints players and families,
As we prepare for conditioning/practice tomorrow we want to provide a few clarifications and reminders.
First, we want to outline some of the guidance from the MHSAA which was issued 7/29/20:
1.) MHSAA requires face masks be worn from the parking lot and until players are ready to take the field for practice.
2.) Players will need to take their temperature at home before practice. IF YOU HAVE A TEMPERATURE ABOVE 100 DEGREES OR DON’T FEEL WELL, DO NOT ATTEND PRACTICE.
3.) Attendance must be kept for all players each day. There will be a sign in sheet. All players will need to print their name on the page with the appropriate date and answer the questions (I have attached the MHSAA tracking form so that you will be familiar with it before attending practice).
4.) If in the last 14 days, you received a confirmed diagnosis for coronavirus (COVID-19), you have traveled internationally, have had close contact with or cared for someone currently diagnosed with COVID-19, or if you have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, pressure in the chest, extreme fatigue, earache, persistent headache, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle pain, chills, repeated shaking with chills, and persistent loss of smell or taste, please do not attend practice and contact Coach Parrish or team management (Mike Follbaum and Dave Gremban).
5.) All players are asked to maintain 6’ physical distancing during conditioning and drills and on the sidelines during practice and games.
There are many other guidelines related to practice and game day protocols which we will introduce as needed, but these are the basics. This will be new for all of us, so your cooperation will be most appreciated.
The weather for tomorrow looks threatening. Please watch your email for announcements regarding cancellation of practice in the event of pending thunderstorms. We will plan to practice in the rain so long as there is not threat of lightening. We do not have shelter at the practice field, so the threat of likely severe weather will generally result in cancellation of practice.
This week the schedule will be Monday, Tuesday and Friday 6-8pm. No conditioning on Wednesday or Thursday, but make sure that you are keeping active at home.
Remember to bring plenty of water!
